I. List of Police trainer duties:

  1. Manages the training program for all enforcement staff and supervisors.
  2. Develops, maintains, periodically reviews and updates the comprehensive training manual, specifically to meet the in-service training needs of newly hired enforcement personnel.
  3. Develops and implements training methods, techniques and philosophies.
  4. Actively participates in and evaluates service training provided by outside agencies.
  5. Simultaneously initiates and coordinates multiple training assignments.
  6. Creates and develops training materials, forms, manuals, graphs, etc., which will be used to present, track and report the details of the training of enforcement personnel.
  7. Accurately maintains all records of mandated training.
  8. Ensures policies and procedures are understood and complied with.
  9. Monitors and reviews performance of all assigned administrative personnel.
  10. Relays changes in procedures to all staff.
  11. Reviews arrest, and other reports as needed.
  12. Conducts meetings with staff, as needed.
  13. Attends and participates in meetings, as directed by the MTS Chief of Police/Director of Security.
  14. Conducts scheduled and impromptu field audits of enforcement staff and supervisors during daytime or evening/weekend hours and/or during special events, to assure job proficiency.
  15. Performs other duties as assigned.
II. List of Police trainer qualifications

                  1.            Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
                  2.            Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
                  3.            Pass a State licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
                  4.            Type and Length of Specific Experience Required
                  5.            A minimum of two years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military as an instructor
                  6.            A minimum of one year of experience in a supervisory role to include training, coaching and development
                  7.            A minimum of one year of experience as a training instructor with emphasis in classroom instruction, curriculum development and test preparation
                  8.            Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Excel, or comparable content management system
